Embody an angel fallen from grace to uncover the truth of the seemingly perfect utopia that banished you.
Break the rules of order with your ability to switch between turn based and real time combat using the ARCH system as you fight your way back up to Heaven.
We are aiming for Windows, macOS, and Linux releases.
The game is currently in development, with a planned demo release for PAX AUS 2025.
At PAX, we expect the game to take between 5 - 15 minutes to complete.
Neo-Phalem is a RPG that incorpates both turn-based and real-time combat mechanics we call the Arch System. The Arch System allows the player to freely choose between turn-based combat and real-time combat giving them an edge over the forces of heaven or hell. Using an isometric carmera view the player will nagivate a linear level but players will have the opportunity to converse with the locals. The player will be introduced to the Handler who'll serve the player as a guide to assist them on their journey.
Neo-Phalem's art style has gone for a Low Poly style for our assets. Our characters' designs utilise the art styles of japanese anime while retaining the Low Poly modelling. The environment is a vast, barren wasteland with its flora trying to survive with sinners morphing into petrified trees.
Neo-Phalem developed by a group of students at Swinburne University as a final year project.
